Sophie Blackall illustrated more than fifty books for children, including Hello Lighthouse and Finding Winnie. Her work has been translated into many languages and recognized worldwide for its warmth, detail, and storytelling power. In addition to her illustration career, she is the co-founder of Milkwood Farm, a creative retreat for artists and writers in upstate New York.
